About the Artist
Judy Oxford is an award-winning Fairhope artist with deep roots in the community. Raised in Fairhope’s historic Fruit and Nut district, she is the daughter of artist Rae Bernhardt Jackson, whose family ties extend to Fairhope’s original settlers. Judy attended Auburn University, where she studied Visual Design.
Inspired by the beauty of Mobile Bay and the Eastern Shore, Judy’s paintings capture moss-draped trees, familiar piers, glowing sunsets, and coastal life. She has earned several Best of Show awards and presented two solo exhibitions at the Eastern Shore Art Center. In 2021, she was selected as the featured artist for the Fairhope Arts and Crafts Festival, dedicating her festival painting to her mother’s memory.
