About the Artist
Biff Bourne creates handcrafted stoneware pottery designed for everyday use. He personally makes each piece, throwing white stoneware clay on a potter’s wheel and finishing it by hand.
Bourne decorates his pottery with overlapping glazes or brushwork using coloring oxides, then fires the pieces at high temperatures in a gas kiln. His approach brings together handcraftsmanship and practical purpose, creating pottery that collectors can enjoy as part of daily life.
His stoneware is featured at Gallery by the Bay in Fairhope, Alabama.
