About the Artist
Roxanne Fulkerson is an abstract impressionist artist born and raised in San Diego, California. Primarily self-taught, she draws inspiration from the outdoors, particularly the sky and sea. Her artistic influences include Joan Miró, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh, and Gerhard Richter.
Working in acrylic and mixed media, Roxanne builds her paintings in layers, reflecting her belief that life’s experiences shape and enrich one another. Her expressive use of color invites viewers to discover their own stories and personal connections within each piece.
Before pursuing visual art full-time, Roxanne worked in the performing arts as a singer, performer, and choreographer. Her Christian faith informs her painting and writing, with a desire to encourage others through creativity, hope, and freedom.
