About the Artist
Tom Stoenner is a glass artist who has spent more than three decades creating handblown glass in New York’s Hudson Valley. Working from his studio, he individually crafts glassware for the home and table using traditional tools and centuries-old techniques, bringing a contemporary style to an enduring craft.
His work includes drinking glasses, vases, lamps, ornaments, and paperweights. His luster glass vessels feature layered color and shimmering, iridescent surfaces that change with the light. Each piece reflects his belief that handmade objects can create a meaningful connection between the artist and the person who uses them.
Stoenner’s glass has been exhibited nationwide, and he received an American Craft Museum Design Award. His work is featured at Gallery by the Bay in Fairhope, Alabama.
