About the Artist

Kerry Brooks has been a potter since 1988, making work that she intends for users to enjoy both for its function and its art. She learned to throw in Ann Arbor, Michigan and has been working as a full-time studio potter in Minneapolis since 1997. Today, she works primarily in wheel-thrown, high-fired stoneware.

Brooks’ pottery is highly functional. Her pots are fired to about 2400 degrees in a natural gas kiln so each piece is very durable as well as food-, oven-, microwave-, and dishwasher-safe. (Excluding glass pieces)  The glazes are also durable and will not lose their vibrant colors over time.
