About the Artist
Houston Llew is a Charleston, South Carolina, artist best known for creating Spiritiles- handcrafted glass-on-copper artworks that pair colorful imagery with meaningful quotations and stories.
His artistic journey began in an Atlanta garage in 2008. After learning from master enamelist Zingaro, Houston experimented with kiln-fired glass and copper, developing a distinctive approach that combines visual art with storytelling.
Today, Houston and his team of artisans create Spiritiles in their Charleston studio. Each piece features finely ground glass fused to copper, with words wrapped around its sides. Celebrating friendship, family, adventure, and hope, his work invites collectors to connect meaningful moments in their own lives with art.
